Magazine base pad extension kit for Glock 17 (17 round) factory magazine tube. CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and black anodized, with dimples for marking your magazine and serrated front for positive stripping of stuck magazines, even with only one hand. Increases capacity to 22 rounds while preserving lock back function and ability to seat magazine with the slide forward.
Pads install the same as factory floor plates, using the included ISMI 12 coil magazine spring. Simply replace the factory pad & spring from your 17 round Glock factory magazine.
Installation Tips (see pic gallery):
- Squeeze the sides of the mag tube to limit damage to the retaining nubs when the pad slides on. It's possible to install the pads with no significant marring using this technique. A GTUL mag tool is pictured.
Fits Glock factory 17 round magazines for the Glock 17, 34, 19x, 45, 47. NOT compatible with early production non metal lined (Gen1) Glock magazines, or the single column Glock 43, 43x/48 magazines. Do NOT install on Glock 19 length magazines, the angle at the bottom of the tube is not the same as the 17 round mag. DOES NOT fit Magpul or MecGar Glock magazines.
Top shoulders of the pad share the same overall footprint as factory G19x/G17 +2 magazine and should fit into same mag wells, but we have not been able to test every option out there.
Fits USPSA requirements for 140mm magazines.
Complete kit includes base pad, ISMI 12 coil magazine spring, set screw, and hex wrench. Magazine not included.
*Please note that due to dimensional variations in the molded Glock magazine tube, some installations may not hold 22 rounds. Giving the spring a light stretch to restore original shape and then reinstalling will typically correct this. If that still does not provide 22 round capacity, it may be necessary to install the kit on a different tube.
