Glock Front Sight, Fiber Optic

Fiber Optic
Some Glock slides are thinner at the front sight hole, and the sight's mounting post may protrude. This causes the set screw to tighten against the sight instead of the slide. To correct this, file some material off the bottom of the post (indicated in silver) so that the post sits below flush.

Description

Precision CNC machined from hardened 4140 tool steel and finished in black QPQ salt bath nitrocarburizing (aka Melonite, same as the Glock slide).

  • Fits: ALL Glock models, all calibers, all frame sizes, all slide sizes.
    • Fiber optic (.060" rod with .075" diameter counterbore on 40lpi serrated blade face for flared bulb).
    • Compatible with .250" blade height rear sights.  NOT compatible with Glock factory rear sights, fixed or adjustable, as they are shorter than .250" blade height.
  • Height: .215", .235" and .250"
    • ALL Glock models, regardless of size, caliber, or generation, most commonly use the .215" front.
    • Glock 34/35, 41, 17L, 24L most commonly uses the .235" front. Sights do not overhang slide cutout.
    • Glock 48 uses .250" front with our Glock MOS Standard Height Rear Sight.
    • The .235" front lowers impact approximately 2-3" at 25 yards relative to the .215" front.
    • The .250" front lowers impact approximately 3-5" at 25 yards relative to the .215" front.
    • Please note that different guns will vary in regards to point of impact, especially with differing shooter preference. These heights are recommendations, and we cannot guarantee point of impact due to variations in individual guns. Point of impact will vary by *individual gun* and not so much by generation.
  • Width: .125", .115"
    • Blade width is strictly personal preference.  Thinner fronts cover less of the target area and are preferred for speed.  Thicker blades like the .125" are preferred for improved accuracy and are our most popular.

All sights include set screw and one section each of red and green .060" fiber optic rods.

**INSTALL ONLY TO MAX TORQUE OF 6 INCH/LBS or else you may risk cracking the threaded post.

***Due to manufacturing tolerances by our fiber optic supplier, there may be slight variation in the diameter of the fiber optic rod. Use a razor blade or X-Acto knife at 90 degrees to the rod and gently scrape the outside diameter a little bit and it will fit right in without any compromise to the function.

    Can't Go Wrong

If you take the time to read and accept the recommendations on the 10-8 Performance website relative to front sight selection, you can't go wrong. I have 10-8 Performance sights on a Glock 21 and a Lone Wolf 6" 10mm conversion slide and they both are zeroed perfectly. The quality is great and delivery is fast. Nothing more I can say.

    Top notch product.

The installation of this sight is extremely easy, especially with their nut driver. They provide two fiber optic sticks; one green and one red. Each one is easily long enough to replace the fiber 3, maybe 4 times. The sight picture is nice and crisp with nice sharp edges - but it doesn't dig into your leather holster or snag. The serrations kill the glare. The fiber glows nice and bright. Combined with 10-8's U-Notch rear sight you'll have an extremely fast and crisp sight picture. The front and rear sights are easily the best on the market.

    Outstanding Product

I really like 10-8 sights. I have them on my Glock 17. I find they are outstanding at quick target acquisition and they are well designed and built. My only complaint is the matching rear sight is so popular they are out of stock everywhere!

    Couldn't be happier!

I purchased the .140 Rear and .115 Front Fiber Optic sights. I think this is the best all around size combo for my Glock pistol. I have 2 more Glocks with the .156 rear and .125 front. I think this size is great for CCW or a defensive pistol, which is the role the 2 Glocks I have these sights on serve. The wider notch and post are slightly faster to pick up for close targets and the .140 rear with .115 front are great for close targets, as well as targets at further distance without covering up too much of the target. I have used these sights in 2 Frank Proctor courses, abused them as well as taken them off and re-installed. They're extremely durable and are the only sights I am using now. Great Job 10-8!

Excellent Front Sight, Love Fiber Optic

I really love the fiber optic front sights. I chose a set-up of .140 Rear and .115 Front. This allows me to have a good close ratio of 1:2:1, meaning the sight picture between the sights is almost half the width of the front sight. I use a ratchet to hand fasten the screw to the front sight. I had to grind the ratchet attachment to fit in the grooves in the slide to install the screw and get through the port hole on the bottom of my G34/ G35. It took me about 15 minutes to install the front sight. If you still don't understand youtube "glock sight installation".

    Brass Bead front sight

I have fiber optic sights on most of my pistols, I had a friend recommend 10-8 Performance and boy I wish I had discovered them sooner. I went with the Brass Bead front sight in my G30 because I like the Gold Bead on my Wilson Combat Professional so much. This Brass Bead is great, picks up the light even in low light. Quick sight acquisition, nice and clean. Installation was a piece of cake, delivery was quick and I'm coming back for more!

    Best sight ever!

I have installed the fiber optic front sight on all five of my Glocks. I love them. I think Hilton Yam is absolutely right about using these sights and a tac-light instead of tritium. I will never go back.

Fiber Optic front is awesome !

I just purchased a set of 10-8 sight for my carry/home defense glock 19. I went with the .215 x .125 fiber optic front with the .156 U notch rear sight. HUGE upgrade over factory sights. I could not be happier. I researched sights for days and finally decided on these and I am sure glad I did. I also have a G17 with a Glock tridium front sight and metal rear Glock sight and the 10-8 combo is much nicer. The 10-8 sights are much faster to acquire and are easier to be accurate with. Also the service from 10-8 was outstanding!
