Glock Front Sight, Fiber Optic

Fiber Optic
Some Glock slides are thinner at the front sight hole, and the sight's mounting post may protrude. This causes the set screw to tighten against the sight instead of the slide. To correct this, file some material off the bottom of the post (indicated in silver) so that the post sits below flush.

Description

Precision CNC machined from hardened 4140 tool steel and finished in black QPQ salt bath nitrocarburizing (aka Melonite, same as the Glock slide).

  • Fits: ALL Glock models, all calibers, all frame sizes, all slide sizes.
    • Fiber optic (.060" rod with .075" diameter counterbore on 40lpi serrated blade face for flared bulb).
    • Compatible with .250" blade height rear sights.  NOT compatible with Glock factory rear sights, fixed or adjustable, as they are shorter than .250" blade height.
  • Height: .215", .235" and .250"
    • ALL Glock models, regardless of size, caliber, or generation, most commonly use the .215" front.
    • Glock 34/35, 41, 17L, 24L most commonly uses the .235" front. Sights do not overhang slide cutout.
    • Glock 48 uses .250" front with our Glock MOS Standard Height Rear Sight.
    • The .235" front lowers impact approximately 2-3" at 25 yards relative to the .215" front.
    • The .250" front lowers impact approximately 3-5" at 25 yards relative to the .215" front.
    • Please note that different guns will vary in regards to point of impact, especially with differing shooter preference. These heights are recommendations, and we cannot guarantee point of impact due to variations in individual guns. Point of impact will vary by *individual gun* and not so much by generation.
  • Width: .125", .115"
    • Blade width is strictly personal preference.  Thinner fronts cover less of the target area and are preferred for speed.  Thicker blades like the .125" are preferred for improved accuracy and are our most popular.

All sights include set screw and one section each of red and green .060" fiber optic rods.

**INSTALL ONLY TO MAX TORQUE OF 6 INCH/LBS or else you may risk cracking the threaded post.

***Due to manufacturing tolerances by our fiber optic supplier, there may be slight variation in the diameter of the fiber optic rod. Use a razor blade or X-Acto knife at 90 degrees to the rod and gently scrape the outside diameter a little bit and it will fit right in without any compromise to the function.

Read our article about sight selection.

10-8 Glock Front Fiber Optic Sight

Well made front sight. This is the first time I've ever installed an acrylic rod in this type of front sight, and it turned out to be rather easy. Provides a nice bright front sight picture.

    Glock sights

The green fiber optic front and blacked out steel rear are awesome! Put a set on my 43x and had major accuracy improvement. Liked these so much, I got a set for my Glock 17. I went with the thinner front sight post at .115 wide and it’s amazing. 10-8 performance will be on more of my glocks in the near future.

    Great sights

I paired the .250 / .125 fiber optic front with the .250 rear on my iron-sights slide for my Glock 43 and 43X (I also have a slide with an optic mounted), and they're perfect. Great sight picture, and very sturdy and well made. Hilton packaged them up and shipped them quickly, and I couldn't be happier.

    Glock Front Sight

I like the Glock Front Sight. It was easy to install. The fiber optic makes it easy to see the front sight and accompanied with 10-8 rear sight makes it a great combo.

Fiber Optic Insert is too Large

Fiber optic insert is too large so it doesn't fit into the front sight. I was told this is common enough and to take a razor blade and scrape at it but it makes it look horrible. When I'm spending over $100 for what should be very quality sites I expect there to be better quality control. I should not have to "mod" it. Very dissatisfied.

TERRIBLE $45 FIBER OPTIC FRONT SIGHT

First off the optic tubes are to large from factory. You are forced to scrape them down to size (something not mentioned enough pre-purchase)in order to fit. But the worst part is by scraping the plastic fiber tubes yore making it WAY LESS light translucent. Before "scrape fitting they actually glow but after its like the scraping causes an Opaque effect making it impossible to pick up the red or green fiber optic...and sadly these are very expensive F.O. sights.i feel like I was robbed, Last time doing business with 10-8.

10-8 Glock fiberoptic front and Gen 2 rear sight

I'm very pleased. 10-8 parts are high tolerance products. I put these sights on my Glock 31 and POA/POI is right on from 10 to 100 yards! Nice sight picture too.
