Nice
I had a gunsmith install this sight on a Springfield Mil-Spec. It took a bunch of fitting he said but looks great. Haven’t shot yet

1911 NM REAR SIGHT
The 1911 NM REAR SIGHT is solidly built, and the bluing is a close match to the bluing of my Colt 1911 Government. I paired it with a HIVIZ Front Sight for Tenon Style 1911. The 10-8 rear sight accommodates front sight heights .175-.185. The HIVIZ front sight height is .180.

1911 NM Rear Sights
These sights are awesome. Put them on my Colt Commander which is my duty weapon at my agency. They look great and perform as expected. Be prepared for some file and stone work depending on the weapon you install them on, but other than that no issues. Emailed back and forth with Mr. Yam and customer service is great.

National match 1911 rear sight
Excellent replacement for the Springfield mil spec rear sight. It was about .010" oversized. Took a few minutes to fit which was no big deal. It is easier to shoot with both eyes open with this sight.

The way it should have come from Colt
The tiny GI-style rear sight on my '98-issue Commander was shredding the lining of my suit coats and was impossible to see during combat shooting. I was convinced I would need to replace both front and rear sights. The 10-8 NM sight was an easy fit with a few minutes of work with a fine India stone. The finish matched up perfect with my Colt, the no-snag design doesn't tear up my cover garments, and it's perfect for one-handed charging if my support hand gets injured. Best of all, I discovered I didn't need to replace my front sight because the NM rear sight has a much larger U-shaped notch that makes it substantially easier to pick up the front sight during fast shooting. I'm not one for flamboyant Gucci-gear mods on a pistol design that JMB got right 100+ years ago, and this sight is everything I want on a real combat piece. I stake my life on this gun, and the fact that it wears a 10-8 Performance NM rear sight is the highest praise I could possibly give.

3rd set of NM sights
As always 10-8 sights are the best! back in 80s all I used on my 1911s were Bomar, once my Dept clear us us to carry 1911s for concealed carry I tried out my first set of 10-8 U notch rears with a gold dot front and that is all I have run since the the very first days of 10-8! Now that my kids are buying their own firearms their now using 10-8 set ups. Thank you Hilton for providing us with a great product!

Just what the doctor ordered
Took some needle filing and whetstone work but fits great and looks much better than the factory white dot. The larger "U" notch gives a much clearer and faster sight picture. I wanted a "drop in" because i didn't want to cut the slide on my Colt Combat Commander..this fit the bill perfectly! Couldn't be happier.

Better late than never!
I find it amazing, but this sight concept was thought of by NYPD's Jim Cirillo (RIP) whom I trained under back in the nineties. Jim brought his concept to the attention to Ashley Emerson former owner of XS Sights. Apparently Emerson preferred the express sight Vee/Big Dot instead of the Big Dot sitting in the U-notch... their loss. I've tried XS sights... I could not get use to them. Then I found 10-8 Performance and a U-notch sight which now sits in the dovetail of my Commander with a white dot front sight resting comfortably in the U. Its so natural!
