*While this part is a drop in fit in many pistols, gunsmith fitting may be required on some guns. The .200" (nominal) diameter pin is typically bigger than your factory unit (they tend to run .195-.199") and may not fit into the frame hole. The larger diameter pin can create a tighter lockup with the barrel's lower lugs, sometimes such that the gun will not go into battery without gunsmith fitting.
**A popular question is "will this fit in my XXX 1911." As above, every single 1911 will be a little different, and may or may not require gunsmith fitting.
***This part was the OEM slide stop for the Staccato 2011's from 2018-2020, and their current slide stop has a similarly shaped lever. As much as we'd like to sell you a slide stop, you may not gain much from fitting a 10-8 slide stop to a current Staccato. Further, the Staccato factory machines the barrel lugs to the slide stop in your gun, so that they are dimensionally matched for optimum lockup and accuracy. You cannot simply drop in a new slide stop into your Staccato, and doing so may likely result in a fit inferior to the factory's work. For users new to the 1911/2011, the slide stop is to be depressed with the support hand during the reload, and this lever does not extend to the rear to make your gun like a Glock.

Fits all 1911 pattern pistols, including Govt/Commander/Officer sizes and 2011/Caspian/Para double column frames. Also fits Springfield EMP, which will accept the 9/.38/.40 versions.
.45 ACP version has .200" lobe protrusion.
9mm/.38/.40 version has .220" lobe protrusion. **All calibers other than .45 will use 9/.38 slide stop**
Machined from bar stock and heat treated.
Carbon steel version has black oxide finish.
Stainless Steel version has matte bead blast finish.

Love the Profile
My STI 4.0 DS VIP came with a super low profile slide stop. This one is much better. Its larger profile makes it so much easier for me to manipulate.

Outstanding Product
This well made and finished product is an inexpensive item to improve the performance of well-made firearms. It's amazing what a difference of 0.002 inches in diameter can do. The as-received slide stop fit perfectly into my Colt 1911 9mm Competition Series pistol. Point of impact at 21 feet was changed by an inch but groups were tighter.

Exceeded My Expectaions
I always cringe when I buy an upgrade/replacement for my Kimber Super Carry Ultra+ as there always seems to be an "issue". HOWEVER this time it was a very pleasant experience. The SS slide stop fit perfectly right out of the package. The bonus part is the color/finish matches the frame perfectly instead of the original black slide stop which matched the slide. It is a much cleaner look.

Design definitely improves function.
This product inserts into the frame and engages the plunger detent pin more easily than the standard slide stop design. An added feature is the generous shelf for manual manipulation with very nice machining. Highest recommendation.

Great product
This is a very high quality product. The only suggestion, not complaint, is that it should be wider, by another 1/16'' to 1/8'', not longer. The length is fine.

amazing quality and design
Cannot be happier with this precision slde stop. The fit is perfect.truly in my pretty in a work of art. I initially got this to replace the slide stop on my sigsauer 1911, which was a cheap looking MIM part. However, it's so pretty I swapped it out with my Ed Brown 1911. The Ed Brown slide stop, which pales in comparison, is now in my Sigg 1911.

perfect fit and function
After a few premature slide locks during an IDPA competition, I ordered one for my 9mm Commander. Completely dropped in straight out of the package. Cured the problem completely.

easy fitting, great product
Dropped into my TRP but I noticed the slide was tougher to cycle. Upon inspection, I saw the notch was a little narrow and protruded into frame slide rail. A few light passes with a file solved that. Now it cycles smooth. Nice product with good contact area to depress the slide stop.
