*While this part is a drop in fit in many pistols, gunsmith fitting may be required on some guns. The .200" (nominal) diameter pin is typically bigger than your factory unit (they tend to run .195-.199") and may not fit into the frame hole. The larger diameter pin can create a tighter lockup with the barrel's lower lugs, sometimes such that the gun will not go into battery without gunsmith fitting.
**A popular question is "will this fit in my XXX 1911." As above, every single 1911 will be a little different, and may or may not require gunsmith fitting.
***This part was the OEM slide stop for the Staccato 2011's from 2018-2020, and their current slide stop has a similarly shaped lever. As much as we'd like to sell you a slide stop, you may not gain much from fitting a 10-8 slide stop to a current Staccato. Further, the Staccato factory machines the barrel lugs to the slide stop in your gun, so that they are dimensionally matched for optimum lockup and accuracy. You cannot simply drop in a new slide stop into your Staccato, and doing so may likely result in a fit inferior to the factory's work. For users new to the 1911/2011, the slide stop is to be depressed with the support hand during the reload, and this lever does not extend to the rear to make your gun like a Glock.

Fits all 1911 pattern pistols, including Govt/Commander/Officer sizes and 2011/Caspian/Para double column frames. Also fits Springfield EMP, which will accept the 9/.38/.40 versions.
.45 ACP version has .200" lobe protrusion.
9mm/.38/.40 version has .220" lobe protrusion. **All calibers other than .45 will use 9/.38 slide stop**
Machined from bar stock and heat treated.
Carbon steel version has black oxide finish.
Stainless Steel version has matte bead blast finish.

Great product
This is a very high quality product. The only suggestion, not complaint, is that it should be wider, by another 1/16'' to 1/8'', not longer. The length is fine.

amazing quality and design
Cannot be happier with this precision slde stop. The fit is perfect.truly in my pretty in a work of art. I initially got this to replace the slide stop on my sigsauer 1911, which was a cheap looking MIM part. However, it's so pretty I swapped it out with my Ed Brown 1911. The Ed Brown slide stop, which pales in comparison, is now in my Sigg 1911.

perfect fit and function
After a few premature slide locks during an IDPA competition, I ordered one for my 9mm Commander. Completely dropped in straight out of the package. Cured the problem completely.

easy fitting, great product
Dropped into my TRP but I noticed the slide was tougher to cycle. Upon inspection, I saw the notch was a little narrow and protruded into frame slide rail. A few light passes with a file solved that. Now it cycles smooth. Nice product with good contact area to depress the slide stop.

Awesome slide stop
I wanted to change the factory slide stop on my 1911s, not because they did not work but it was hard to find it with my left thumb after slide lock reloading. I bought two of these from Brownells and they dropped right in my Kimber C2 target and springer TM with a perfect fit and function. I am so in love with your products! I had to grind my Kydex holster a bit to accommodate the wider pad but the guns fit nicely in the holster now. My next purchase will be the Gi guide rod and plug.

Amazing difference
Another competitive shooter told me about how much difference the 10-8 slide stop made--it's true! Just bought another one for my other Kimber. Perfect fit on both the Super Match II and Custom Target.

My second one!
No, my first one didn't break. I liked this slide stop so much, that I ordered it to replace the one on my Baer Premier II, except in black this time. I didn't have to fit the first stainless one I put in my Sig, but this one I had to fit because the .200 diameter locked up my barrel and I couldn't rack the slide. I used emery cloth to get it down to .198 to match the OEM Baer diameter. Love it! If I get another 1911, I'll be getting another 10-8 slide stop!
