Description
*While this part is a drop in fit in many pistols, gunsmith fitting may be required on some guns. The .200" (nominal) diameter pin is typically bigger than your factory unit (they tend to run .195-.199") and may not fit into the frame hole. The larger diameter pin can create a tighter lockup with the barrel's lower lugs, sometimes such that the gun will not go into battery without gunsmith fitting.
**A popular question is "will this fit in my XXX 1911." As above, every single 1911 will be a little different, and may or may not require gunsmith fitting.
***This part was the OEM slide stop for the Staccato 2011's from 2018-2020, and their current slide stop has a similarly shaped lever. As much as we'd like to sell you a slide stop, you may not gain much from fitting a 10-8 slide stop to a current Staccato. Further, the Staccato factory machines the barrel lugs to the slide stop in your gun, so that they are dimensionally matched for optimum lockup and accuracy. You cannot simply drop in a new slide stop into your Staccato, and doing so may likely result in a fit inferior to the factory's work. For users new to the 1911/2011, the slide stop is to be depressed with the support hand during the reload, and this lever does not extend to the rear to make your gun like a Glock.

Fits all 1911 pattern pistols, including Govt/Commander/Officer sizes and 2011/Caspian/Para double column frames. Also fits Springfield EMP, which will accept the 9/.38/.40 versions.
.45 ACP version has .200" lobe protrusion.
9mm/.38/.40 version has .220" lobe protrusion. **All calibers other than .45 will use 9/.38 slide stop**
Machined from bar stock and heat treated.
Carbon steel version has black oxide finish.
Stainless Steel version has matte bead blast finish.

Awesome slide stop
I wanted to change the factory slide stop on my 1911s, not because they did not work but it was hard to find it with my left thumb after slide lock reloading. I bought two of these from Brownells and they dropped right in my Kimber C2 target and springer TM with a perfect fit and function. I am so in love with your products! I had to grind my Kydex holster a bit to accommodate the wider pad but the guns fit nicely in the holster now. My next purchase will be the Gi guide rod and plug.

Amazing difference
Another competitive shooter told me about how much difference the 10-8 slide stop made--it's true! Just bought another one for my other Kimber. Perfect fit on both the Super Match II and Custom Target.

My second one!
No, my first one didn't break. I liked this slide stop so much, that I ordered it to replace the one on my Baer Premier II, except in black this time. I didn't have to fit the first stainless one I put in my Sig, but this one I had to fit because the .200 diameter locked up my barrel and I couldn't rack the slide. I used emery cloth to get it down to .198 to match the OEM Baer diameter. Love it! If I get another 1911, I'll be getting another 10-8 slide stop!

Slide Stop, Gen 2 in Sig 1911 Ultra
My Sig Ultra was a jamomatic that would not load rounds when a new magzine was added and the slide stop released. Different magazines did not work. I dropped in the Gen 2 slide stop and my Ultra now functions great. No more failures to feed.

Works like i wanted
While i did have to smooth out the area that contacts the plunger spring (also had to on the stock Springfield one) it works perfectly. It's just that much bigger than the oem to allow smoother release of the slide without being so big that it catches on your clothing. Nice product.

A Perfect Fit!
Ordered Gen 2 Stainless Slide Stop for my Sig GSR1911. The original was very hard to install during slide assembly. I even took it to a smith to have it worked on with a slight improvment. Ordered and installed the 10-8 slide stop. Now re-assembly is a breeze.Thanks for making such a great product. Joe NC

Works well.
Works well, looks great, and finish is flawless. Not much to say about fitting, as this was a drop in for on my SR1911 that had a .198 pin from the factory. However, this stop rides REAL close to the slide, and has no plunger detent. I may remove the tiniest bit of metal under the tombstone to allow for a bit more downward travel then add the detent. This very minor fitting would be done just for my piece of mind, since the pistol seems to run fine as is. Other than my own preferences, this is a 5 star product.

Slide Stop,Gen 2 - Installed OK, Corrected the Slide Hold Open Issue
Installed OK, no fitting required. Shaft diameter was a true .200 inches. Corrected the slide hold open issue that I had with my Sig. Now all the mags that I have engage the slide stop and hold the slide open when empty. Thanks.

Perfect drop in replacement for my Sig Stainless Rail
I couldn't stand the look of the OEM slide stop on my Sig Stainless Rail. It was also difficult to get back in without pushing the plunger spring in with something blunt. After reading about the 10-8 slide stop from one of the boards I frequent, I decided to give it a try. The color matches perfectly and getting it in is EASY. No fitment was needed on my firearm and it makes the gun look whole. I would highly recommend this slide stop to anybody looking to get a matched slide stop for their Sig.
