The 10-8 Performance magazine catch for the Staccato 2011 Gen2/3 grip modules features a unique 30lpi serrated curved button surface for positive activation. The curved button surface matches the contour of your thumb pad when the pistol is rolled over for a reload, and the serrations provide improved traction over the smooth factory unit. Overall length of the button protrusion, as measured at the longest part, is the same as the factory unit. This is NOT an extended length/width button. Face of the serrated button features a machined bevel to improve user comfort during handling and carry.
Fits ONLY Staccato 2011 double stack models with Gen2/3 grip modules (P, P DUO, XC, XL, C2, C2 DUO). Does NOT fit legacy grip modules, aftermarket metal grip modules, single stack models (legacy/discontinued C, C DUO, R). DOES NOT FIT STACCATO v3 guns such as the CS or 2024 C.
- Gen2/3 Grip Modules can be identified by the molded texturing and the star logo on the lower portion of the side of the grip.
- Gen1/Legacy Grip Modules may have the tree bark texturing or double diamond molded checkering, as well as the faux grip screw at the bottom half of the grip. This catch IS NOT compatible with these modules.
Machined from hardened 4140 bar stock, with black oxide (blue) finish. Magazine catch only.
Requires factory Staccato Gen2 mag catch lock, NOT INCLUDED (and not sold by the factory - use the one that's IN your Gen2 grip module).
If you're retrofitting your existing gun, you will be reusing the factory catch lock and spring.
These parts are made to the original STI/Staccato Gen2 mag catch factory spec, but due to variances in the molded grip module and production changes, this part may be a bit sticky in your grip module. Here are a few trouble shooting steps:
- Ensure that the new mag catch (with no spring/catch lock) fits smoothly in the grip module.
- Check that the mag catch spring tunnel is clean - use a toothpick or paper clip to clear the tunnel, and then a pipe cleaner or compressed air to finish up.

Stacatto mag release
This mag release in my Stacatto XL was more stiff and not any easier to reach with my thumb. Had a more difficult time releasing the magazine with this part than with the factory one. I tried taking it out and putting a little oil on it without luck. Ultimately, I ended up putting the factory mag release back in.

Mag Catch
Product came in a timely manner and as described. Had a bit of an issue with something stuck inside the tunnel from manufacturing that I was quickly able to resolve with an email to 10-8. The customer service was on top of their emails and helped me fix my issue. Thank you Hilton and 10-8 performance.

2011 Mag Release
Another awesome upgrade by Hilton! 10-8's 2011 Mag Release for Staccato fit perfect with no filing or adjustment necessary. it dropped right in and uses the stock Staccato mag release spring and retainer. This makes releasing the magazine and changes easy with just depressing the button in your work space, You don't have to break your grip to release the mag anymore. One of the best drop in upgrades!!!

Gen 2 Mag catch
I found this while searching through all the interesting stuff on the website. I figured that it wouldn't hurt to try out, since I hate the feel of the factory button on my C2. I am completely impressed! The rounded front corner and the texture actually give my finger the ability to have a positive press everytime. I'm so impressed, I'm buying another one for my XL! Keep on creating these great ideas!

An easy and worthwhile upgrade to a 2011
Drops right in and the serrated pad with the gentle curve to the front make for a positive and comfortable mag change, with no additional width added to the footprint.

10-8 Staccato Magazine Release
Good product, well made and installed easily. But… it actually made my mag changes slower because only 1/3 of the face is factory length and it tapers off. I ended up putting the original mag catch back in and Drimelled a taper leading up to the mag catch on the grip and it worked perfectly. Nothing wrong with this product… wish it had been made so the lowest part of the catch was the same height as the original and then taper up 1/3….
