Description
Magazine base pad for STI/Staccato 2011 factory magazine, all generations. Designed to provide proper fit and prevent over insertion on slide lock reloads when used as follows:
- Full size Gen1 and Gen2 grips, with 126mm/17rd (or restricted 10/15rd) mag, flush fit, without mag well
- Full size Gen2 grips, with 126mm/17rd mag (or restricted 10/15rd), flush fit, with current production Dawson Tactical Advantage mag well
- C2/ODS Gen2 grips, with 120mm/16rd mag (or restricted 10/15rd), flush fit, without mag well
*Due to the wide variation in dimensions for the Gen1 grips with various mag wells, we can't guarantee fit on these setups. Does not fit 2019 Slim Tactical Mag well, nor is it intended for other magazine wells since each have unique internal profiles that make it impossible to achieve positive over insertion stop on all of them. Due to the variation in length of the legacy VIP length grips, we can't predict with certainty if this pad will be 100% compatible with all samples.
Includes thicker bottom to recess the star shaped mag pad retainer and prevent accidental depression during drops on concrete.
Machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized matte black. Includes classic 10-8 features: serrated front for easier stripping and more tactile handling, scallops on side for stripping stuck mag, and dimples on the bottom for marking your magazine.
DOES NOT FIT:
- 2019 Slim Tactical Mag well and any other legacy mag wells produced under STI brand name prior to 01/2020
- Any other brand magazine wells, since each have unique internal profiles that make it impossible to achieve positive over insertion stop on all of them.
- Any other brand magazines or tubes other than STI/Staccato factory, as they may not have the same dimensions and therefore cannot be guaranteed to lock in or provide over insertion stop.
- Does NOT fit Staccato CS or C(2024) magazines, they are a completely different tube design.
**The star will sit below flush due to our plate being thicker. The pad's hole location is set to minimum spec to eliminate any fore/aft play of the pad on the tube, but it can make for a very tight fit for the factory retainer (the star). Here the solutions to try if the star isn’t popping up into the base pad:
1) Hold the mag tube and rap the serrated front of the base pad on a wooden block, inertia usually is enough to seat the star retainer.
2) Use a larger diameter punch to push the star down and tilt it in order to have it pop up.

Quality base plates
Purchased the 2011 flush fit mag base plates for for my Staccato XC & P. I was worried about the EOM over inserting and causing damage. These plates prevent future damage to my handguns. They also are build to last and look great. Definitely recommend these.

Basepads
Nice quality but not what I was hoping or was lead to believe in regards to preventing over insertion and “care and feeding” of the ejector. I have a NHC and that may only pertain to Stacatto products.

The 10-8 2011 base pads are head and shoulders above the factory. Excellent fit and finish, quick shipping was a plus!

Base pads
They fit very nicely. Eating up the gap at the bottom of the grip between the basepad. Eliminating the stainless showing through. So I'd say over insertion is not an issue. They are great. I'll get a few more once i can afford a few more magazines.
