Description
Magazine base pad for STI/Staccato 2011 factory magazine, all generations. Fits 140mm length magazine tubes for 9mm/40. On a 140mm length tube, this will lock in ONLY on the full sized grips, and provides positive over insertion stop for slide lock reloads. Not for 120/126mm magazines in any grip module, as they will not lock in place.
Machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized matte black. Includes classic 10-8 features: serrated front for easier stripping and more tactile handling, scallops on side for stripping stuck mag, and dimples on the bottom for marking your magazine.
Fits Gen2 Tactical Advantage factory mag well or bare Gen1/2 grip module without mag well (see photo gallery).
DOES NOT FIT:
- 2019 Slim Tactical Mag well and any other legacy mag wells produced under STI brand name prior to 01/2020
- Any other brand magazine wells, since each have unique internal profiles that make it impossible to achieve positive over insertion stop on all of them.
- Any other brand magazines or tubes other than STI/Staccato factory, as they may not have the same dimensions and therefore cannot be guaranteed to lock in or provide over insertion stop.
**The star will sit below flush due to our plate being thicker. The pad's hole location is set to minimum spec to eliminate any fore/aft play of the pad on the tube, but it can make for a very tight fit for the factory retainer (the star). Here the solutions to try if the star isn’t popping up into the base pad:
1) Hold the mag tube and rap the serrated front of the base pad on a wooden block, inertia usually is enough to seat the star retainer.
2) Use a larger diameter punch to push the star down and tilt it in order to have it pop up.

Atlas Gunworks Mag Base Pad
Unfortunately this did not work well with my Atlas. Although it fit on the magazine, with it on the magazine no longer fits in the mag well properly. Extremely disappointed with the product

Base pads that are built to last
Purchased the 2011 140mm mag base pads for for my Staccato XC & P. I already purchased the based flush fit pads and was extremely impressed. I was worried about the EOM over inserting and causing damage. These plates prevent future damage to my handguns. They also are build to last and look great. Definitely will buy more if and when I purchase another 2011.

Not that great
The base plate finish isn't great aswell as the bottom hole that lines with the plastic retainer. The hole doesn't line up well so with the l Right force or drop the baseplate pushed forward

dont risk it
If you have some of the smaller baseplates that don't protect the mag from being overly inserted bending your ejector, buy these base plates. These base plates will protect your $2,500 investment. These problematic bases are older mags with short base plates that show steal when inserted. I bought a couple but not enough, my gun will head back to Stacatto and their great customer service for repair. I expect.

10-8 2011 140mm base pad
It's a base pad. Has dimples for marking which is fine. The best part is that it holds the spring and follower in the gun. A+
