Our original 1911 hammers have been redesigned for even better performance!
10-8 bobbed spur hammer, tool steel with black oxide finish. Due to the short spur, this hammer will fit into most common beavertails where your existing hammer fits.
Optimized hook geometry allows for a drop in fit with an EGW sear (EGW Part Number 10040), requiring no stoning or angle setting. EGW disconnector recommended but not required.
Please note that changing fire control components will affect function and fit of thumb and grip safeties, and if you are unable to safely complete the installation on your own, you should seek the services of a qualified 1911 gunsmith.

it reduces the potential snag during the draw and very comfortable while carrying inside the waist band and out side the waist band I followed your suggestion and purchased the EGW sear it reduced my pull weight by 1/2 pound and very crisp

Great hammer. Installed with deburred factory colt sear and disconnect in a new colt classic govt. Nice clean trigger pull. Love it.

Bobbed Hammer
Great looking product. I was very excited when it was re-introduced. Loved it the first time I saw it on one of Hilton’s builds. It brings a retro look to your pistol. Recently included on my Evolution Armory build which can be seen on 1911 addicts forum. Will purchase another for a new build with Evolution Armory.

Hammer is nicely finished absent of any tool or finishing marks. Hammer hooks are square and off good tolerances/specs. Finish is durable. Everything I'm familiar with from 10-8 products

I’ve been pestering Mr.Yam for several years to reintroduce his highly sought after hammers. Imagine my surprise when it finally occurred. While these hammers are slightly different than the original iteration, they are still the high quality one would expect from 10-8 Performance. I purchased 3, dropped them into the pistols that had been waiting for them and took them to the range for function testing. I was not disappointed in the function or appearance. I will order another when my next build begins. Except for my 1914 Colt and 1944 RR, all my 1911s wear these hammers.

20-8 hammers. Got mine.
This is frankly my favorite 1911 hammer. Fit, function and style. Five of my 1911’s wear them. I just wish they could be more readily available. One day if they’re ever available again, I’ve got 4 more begging to wear them. Enough said.
