I followed Hiltons plan of changing the 2 piece guide rod using these parts easily and successfully. I don’t see it as performance enhancement but it wasn’t intended to be. Rather just a preference and I like it. The game changer was also changing the recoil spring to a 12lb. After about 400 rds of 115 gr no ftf’s to report. Thanks for the gun review and assessment.

Hilton comes through again, the bevel on his Guide Rod isn't a gimmick, GET ONE! My TRP Op is currently back for warranty work because of the factory guide rod NOT having the bevel, and battering the Barrel feet. Thanks Hilton!

Used to replace the factory Colt double recoil spring. Fits perfect and works as expected; great!

Despite several excellent reviews here, I wanted to add my own thoughts on the 10-8 GI guide rod and reverse plug combo for my TRP Operator. My gun was one of those which came with the full length guide rod that isn't beveled on the back end thus it was hitting the barrel 'legs' potentially causing irreversible damage over hundreds of rounds fired. This was one of the few great options to remedy that issue without waiting to send my regular guide rod to SA for servicing and having to wait for them to return it. They are indisputably excellent quality products, the conversion for my TRP went as smoothly as it could possibly go, I cannot wait to start putting countless rounds down range and being able to take-down the firearm in 'no-time' to clean it up before duty calls :). Thanks Hilton for making such top-notch products!
