Description
The Armorer Block is the culmination of years of tinkering on the 1911 and getting by with a box of tools and fixtures that didn't quite do what I wanted.
This 4"x4"x1.25" block is CNC machined from super tough nylon, and will give years of service. Whatever you might wish to do to your 1911 or 2011 using hand tools, this block will help you do it. The block comes with removable hammer and sear fixture pins.
Some of the built in features of the block (see photo gallery):
- Hold barrel for link pin removal/installation
- Thumb safety fitting, clearance cut, and detent face tuning
- Mainspring housing assembly/disassembly and MSH cap pin holding
- Hammer/sear engagement observation
- Hammer link pin removal
- 2011 Spring guide disassembly/reassembly
- 2011 Grip Rest for MSH pin removal
- 2011 Frame rest for grip module removal
- 1911 Frame holding on either side, via grip screw bushings, with plunger tube and mag catch clearance
This block is so handy it is even used by Colt in their 1911 armorer courses!
**Not compatible with Officer's/Defender, EMP, and other shortened 1911 single stack frames.

Armorers block
We build around 200 1911’s a month between 2-3 people and these bench blocks have proven to be one of the best pieces of equipment we use.

Bench block
The bench block is a nice tool for 1911s. As opposed to a smaller general purpose block, this one nicely holds the frame for pin removal and insertion. Clearance holes allow the frame to sit flat on either side with grips removed. Shipping was expedient.

Armorer block 1911/2011
Have been hand filing/fitting safeties for a while now and although they functioned as intended, they could never match the feel this block allowed me to achieve on the first one. The angle and fit created by it are perfect and nothing beats that "snick" of the safety engaging in place. I would reccomend anyone who maintains even one 1911 type Pistol to have this on hand for basically any and all actions from cleaning to upgrades and modifications. I loctited the sear/hammer pins in place and have used the block daily since receiving it.

10-8 Armorer's Block
If you want to "correctly" fit a thumb safety, get this block. There are other uses for the block (as explained in the directions) but to fit the thumb safety properly, get this block (and take your time, of course.) I love watching 10-8 Performance videos on You Tube! Thank you!

Armorer Block
I'm primarily utilizing the Armorer Block to fit and install small parts on my pistols. Ther Armorer Block is a very well thought out, practical and sturdy tool that is loaded with features that make 1911 pistol work a lot easier. This tool is like having a third hand, so it definitely gets a lot of use.

I love this little armor block it’s really handy for complete detail strip. The slot for fitting a thumb safety an MSH tear down pin is worth it.
