1911 Spring Guide. GI format spring guide with beveled head to prevent damage to lower lugs of barrel. Head geometry and dimensions are optimized for correct slide travel, even with common buffers installed. Heavily tumbled to remove sharp edges. Stainless steel, natural finish. Fits all Government Model sized 1911s (5" barrel) and clones in all calibers. Does NOT fit Commander or smaller size 1911s.

GI guide rod
Amazing fit and finish, the quality is superb. I have been supremely happy with 10-8 perfmance thus far and what really sets them apart is the fantastic communication. He is not too busy to help answer questions to ensure you get exactly what you want.

Ditch the two-piece and go GI style!
I replaced my two piece OEM guide rod with this and a 10-8's plug to make my TRP easier to break down without having to use too many tools (still use a Brownell's bushing wrench because mine is still tight and I can't remove it by hand yet). Keep it easy and go GI style!

Mandatory part for my 1911s. I like it so much I sent one as a gift , along with a 10-8 reverse plug, so a friend could convert his TRP also

Solid upgrade
I watched one of the 10-8 videos online about the DS in 5 inch. I decided to do the OEM two piece guide rod delete with both of the 10-8 products available. I used the OEM spring for now. Both parts fit well and look well since my build has a lot of raw/stainless on it. Much easier to deal with than the two piece guide rod with tool needed. Priced well too. Thank you.

I bought the spring guide and recoil plug so I could get rid of the 2 piece guide. High quality pieces that fit great and look awesome. Very happy to be rid of that guide rod.
