Trigger, 1911

Trigger, 1911

$24.75

Features a solid aluminum shoe with a serrated face in bead blasted natural finish, a full width stainless steel bow, and a fixed stainless steel overtravel stop permanently mounted from the rear of the shoe. This trigger eliminates all issues associated with loose overtravel screws -- no staking, Loctite, or other end user monitoring is necessary. Once the overtravel is set, it is good to go for the life of the trigger.

Our flat trigger has become one of our trademarks, and brings this competition tested concept into a duty ready design. The shoe features a flat face, providing consistent trigger feel no matter where you engage the trigger. The length of pull is the same as the shortest point on a traditional "long" curved trigger.

Available in long/flat only.

The triggers are oversized and will require gunsmith fitting. Please note that the rear mounted overtravel stop is NOT a screw - it is not meant to turn and should be filed to provide the necessary overtravel length.

Compatible with all single stack 1911 pattern pistols.

    1911 Trigger Flat

This trigger took a lot of slow precise hand fitting to fix into my Colt Gunsite 1911. It was 100% worth the purchase and work completed over two days (1-2 hours per day after work) to get this into my 1911. The stock trigger was very squishy with a lot of movement during take up. Hand fitting this 10-8 trigger eliminated any issues I had. 10/10 would recommend.

    Flat trigger review

Great trigger and fairly easy install. I’ve put them in all of my 1911’s, and there definitely an improvement.

    Flat Face Trigger

I’ve preferred a flat face trigger in 1911s since I bought my very first, a SIG Extreme, years ago. When I acquired an NOS Dan Wesson Government Specialist Duty Black .45 I ordered a 10-8 and after minimal filing and sanding had a perfectly fitted and familiar trigger. A superior product!

    Gunsmithing required

Great looking trigger! Needed so much material removed to fit just lost interest.

    1911 Trigger * Support

Long story short something of great mass crushed the USPS box while in the care of USPS bending the trigger bow to be collapsed. Hilton didn't miss a beat and guessed at what had caused such carnage. The replacement shipped perfect and went in with no fitment needed. It could maybe take one or two passes from light sand paper to lap/deck it into my frame but after a few dry fire sessions it's self fitted to a superb fitment. If your on this page you know what flat triggers are about, if you are curious about what they are about get one and you may never go back!

    10-8 1911 flat trigger

10-8's 1911 flat trigger is a well made part. Drop-in parts sometimes take a lot of fitting but in my application there was very little material removed from the bottom of the pad to achieve a proper fit. The aluminum pad has a uniform finish, much lighter than the factory trigger and the vertical grooves provide a positive feel. Very happy!

    Works Well

I installed the flat trigger in my Springfield Armory Trophy Match. I had to file the top of the pad to fit into the frame but the process did not take long. I also polished the bow since it was not as smooth as I had expected. I did not modify the overtravel screw at all. It would probably have been better a little longer for my particular gun but everything is working well.

    Flat trigger

I’ve been satisfied with all the parts I’ve ordered from 10-8 so far and their flat trigger for the 1911 was no exception. It had enough material in the right places to allow proper fitting and smooth travel with minimal filing. I like the aesthetics of the flat trigger and think it makes for a more comfortable and more consistent trigger pull. Definitely worth the money and time.

    Flat trigger

Recently ordered my 3rd 10-8 flat trigger. Excellent trigger, reasonably priced and well made. The flat trigger is much more comfortable for me and I shoot more consistently with one. Highly recommend this trigger.

    Replacement Trigger

Unfortunately I didn't realize that the 1911 trigger would not fit into my 2011 double stack pistol. The gunsmith told me it wouldn't fit before I even took the part out of the bag. But the trigger itself visually looked fine.
