Description
*While this part is a drop in fit in many pistols, gunsmith fitting may be required on some guns. The .200" (nominal) diameter pin is typically bigger than your factory unit (they tend to run .195-.199") and may not fit into the frame hole. The larger diameter pin can create a tighter lockup with the barrel's lower lugs, sometimes such that the gun will not go into battery without gunsmith fitting.
**A popular question is "will this fit in my XXX 1911." As above, every single 1911 will be a little different, and may or may not require gunsmith fitting.
***This part was the OEM slide stop for the Staccato 2011's from 2018-2020, and their current slide stop has a similarly shaped lever. As much as we'd like to sell you a slide stop, you may not gain much from fitting a 10-8 slide stop to a current Staccato. Further, the Staccato factory machines the barrel lugs to the slide stop in your gun, so that they are dimensionally matched for optimum lockup and accuracy. You cannot simply drop in a new slide stop into your Staccato, and doing so may likely result in a fit inferior to the factory's work. For users new to the 1911/2011, the slide stop is to be depressed with the support hand during the reload, and this lever does not extend to the rear to make your gun like a Glock.
Our second generation slide stop is an all original design that is totally reengineered to provide you a whole new level of functionality.

Slide release for Prodigy
Fit and finish is very nice. Pin diameter is .002 larger than stock which required minor elongation of the lower link hole so the lower lugs could slide up on the pin. I would purchase again if I needed another one. Shipping was also pretty quick.

Perfect solution to annoying problem
I was having an issue with slide locking back on empty on my new Springfield Operator when I noticed there was about 1/16th play in my slide stop. The slide stop was really easy to push out during disassembly and would even move while at the range. Bought the 10-8 slide stop and put that in. Fits better than the OEM and has resolved the slide lock issue. I also prefer the way the stop is more pronounced as I am able to reach it easier with my thumb. All around a better product and worth the money. 100% will purchase again for other 1911's.

Perfect out of the box
Installed on a Colt Gov’t. The 200 thou pin is perfect, didn’t have to modify barrel lug and functioned perfect out of the box. As usual, the side that faces the frame, it’s always a good idea to break the edges so it doesn’t scuff up the frame. The ledge is perfectly contoured for hand release of the slide.

Slide Release on Prodigy
Great replacement slide release for my Prodigy. Took .001 or so off it, and it worked fine, with slightly tighter lockup. Piece itself offers a little more surface area for folks to release the slide with.

Slide Stop
Slide stop appears to be High quality compared to a lot of them on the market with the easy install no scratch notch . I am using on a Jem 2011 frame with Caspian slide, it did need a little file radius work on the bottom where it meets the cut out in the frame to not catch on the take down notch on the slide. i am building from scratch and will cerakote so not a problem. Will for sure buy again on my next break the bank build. I am almost certain i need to join a 2011 support group so i can stop. Thanks 10-8 for the quality!
