*While this part is a drop in fit in many pistols, gunsmith fitting may be required on some guns. The .200" (nominal) diameter pin is typically bigger than your factory unit (they tend to run .195-.199") and may not fit into the frame hole. The larger diameter pin can create a tighter lockup with the barrel's lower lugs, sometimes such that the gun will not go into battery without gunsmith fitting.
**A popular question is "will this fit in my XXX 1911." As above, every single 1911 will be a little different, and may or may not require gunsmith fitting.
***This part was the OEM slide stop for the Staccato 2011's from 2018-2020, and their current slide stop has a similarly shaped lever. As much as we'd like to sell you a slide stop, you may not gain much from fitting a 10-8 slide stop to a current Staccato. Further, the Staccato factory machines the barrel lugs to the slide stop in your gun, so that they are dimensionally matched for optimum lockup and accuracy. You cannot simply drop in a new slide stop into your Staccato, and doing so may likely result in a fit inferior to the factory's work. For users new to the 1911/2011, the slide stop is to be depressed with the support hand during the reload, and this lever does not extend to the rear to make your gun like a Glock.

Fits all 1911 pattern pistols, including Govt/Commander/Officer sizes and 2011/Caspian/Para double column frames. Also fits Springfield EMP, which will accept the 9/.38/.40 versions.
.45 ACP version has .200" lobe protrusion.
9mm/.38/.40 version has .220" lobe protrusion. **All calibers other than .45 will use 9/.38 slide stop**
Machined from bar stock and heat treated.
Carbon steel version has black oxide finish.
Stainless Steel version has matte bead blast finish.

Great slidestop
Installed into my TRP 10mm Operator and did have to be fit (factory was 0.196 diameter) after I fit with the lugs the slide stop functioned better than the factory MIM part and gave more positive lock back on all my magazines. Great part. Will be ordering more for my other 1911’s.

Good fit
Fit right into my springfield prodigy and the slide to frame fitment got tighter without binding or anything weird. Good quality part with much better ergonomics.

Good product
The part looks great but required minor fitting which I knew was a possibility. This was easy to do with the part in a vice and some 320 grit sandpaper. I only had to remove a few thousandths of an inch for a perfect fit and apply some cold blue. It was quick and with proper technique it remained uniform in diameter. It was easy enough to fit that I have ordered a second one for my other 1911.

Slide stip, gen 2
Bought and installed the 10-8 Performance gen 2 slide stop on my Prodigy. It worked excellent. Way better than the stock slide stop. I did have to take a very little amount of materials off of the back to keep it from binding on the frame. Outstanding product overall.

Gen 2 Slide Stop
I bought one for my 2 Springfield Armory 1911's. SA slide stop pins tend to be under sized so it took some fitting of the pin and once in these stops work great and very easy to re-install after a field strip.

I ordered this slide stop after many reviewers recommended it and I had a problem with the original Prodigy slide. It was too narrow, this one is just right.

An EXCELLENT 1911 Slide Stop...
The Gen 2 Slide Stop from 10-8 Performance is an outstanding aftermarket part for any 1911 owner wishing to upgrade their handgun with the best parts available. Needed a new slide stop. As always the 10-8 shop was very prompt getting the order to me. The 1911 gods were smiling on me, it did not require any fitting. Would recommend one to anyone needing a new one, or completing a build.
