-Interior of the catch is relieved to prevent trapping of the magazine when the button is pressed.

-Spring tunnel dimensions are improved over Gen 1 catches, to provide a softer feel when pressed.
Tumbled, then bead blasted for a matte finish with soft dehorned edges.
Carbon steel version has black oxide finish.
Stainless steel version has matte blasted finish.
Does not include spring or catch lock.
Not all 1911 frames are made to the same dimensions. This part may require some fitting to ensure proper fit and function in your frame.

AWSOME Mag Catch
Bought this for my Springer Mil-Spec. Dropped right in with no fitting required. AWESOME Product!!!
-
Highest quality, solid part.
Perfect upgrade / replacement for the stock catch on my Kimber Ultra Carry II. No fitting required for my particular UC II pistol with the 10-8 magazine catch. I completely agree with the post below that there is no trapping of the magazines. I run the KimPro Tac-Mag and have absolutely no issues. Fantastic work 10-8!

Don't mess with any other.
Item shipped quickly. As always outstanding customer service from the 10-8 Team! Part dropped right into my Colt. Extra length of the catch was just what I was looking for. Not too long to worry about accidently dropping mags, but long enough to not have to break my firing grip for rapid mag changes. Highly recommend! PLUS DOESNT TRAP THE MAG!!!

Just as Described
Received my mag release and it just dropped in and fitted perfectly on my Rock Island GI 1911. Great product and exceptionally quick service from 10-8.

Didn't think it would make a big difference, but it sure did!
Put these on my twin Springfield TRPs. Both dropped in straight out of the package. The added length coupled with the forward angle feels great when thumbing the release. Only wish that the black oxide finish on mine was a little darker but that's only aesthetics. Absolutely no problem with magazine binding even when pushing the mag release all the way.

Came Recommended & Lived Up To The Reputation
While looking for a replacement for a magazine release for an Israel Arms Ltd 1911, Your release was recommended to me. I purchased one and have been very pleased. The extra touch in the length is just right and the functioning is perfect. I will recommend this part to others and would not hesitate to use again.

Quality built, & great design
This mag release is the best release that I have ever used. It fits my thumb comfortably every time, it's extended just enough to activate smoothly but not get in the way & my mags drop right out every time. Can't ask for much more.

Time Saver!
Most mag catches, nearly all the stock ones, will "trap" the magazine. That is, if you press inward firmly, the left side of the catch hangs up the left side of the magazine. Only when you release a little pressure will the mag fall. The 10-8 mag catch is pre-relieved so that it will _not_ trap mags! Further, the button is subtly tapered to match the angle of the pad of your thumb as you press on the mag catch btton. The 10-8 mag catch will make reloads more sure with less effort. The alternative? Spending time modifying some other catch to not do what the 10-8 catch doesn't do out of the box. Recommended.

Great mag release
I've tried several mag releases in my 1911, and this is the one I chose to keep. I really like the button design.
