Description
The Armorer Block is the culmination of years of tinkering on the 1911 and getting by with a box of tools and fixtures that didn't quite do what I wanted.
This 4"x4"x1.25" block is CNC machined from super tough nylon, and will give years of service. Whatever you might wish to do to your 1911 or 2011 using hand tools, this block will help you do it. The block comes with removable hammer and sear fixture pins.

- Hold barrel for link pin removal/installation
- Thumb safety fitting, clearance cut, and detent face tuning
- Mainspring housing assembly/disassembly and MSH cap pin holding
- Hammer/sear engagement observation
- Hammer link pin removal
- 2011 Spring guide disassembly/reassembly
- 2011 Grip Rest for MSH pin removal
- 2011 Frame rest for grip module removal
- 1911 Frame holding on either side, via grip screw bushings, with plunger tube and mag catch clearance
This block is so handy it is even used by Colt in their 1911 armorer courses!
**Not compatible with Officer's/Defender, EMP, and other shortened 1911 single stack frames.

10-8 Armorer Block
It is well made of Industrial Grade Black 6-6 Nylon expertly CNC drilled and machined to work mainly on 1911 platforms but can be used for other guns with care, a bit pricey but well with it. Although I am not an armorer I recognize the need for fixture to file fit a 150.00 Ambi-safety to my new 1911, (first one), just bought a second one. This block held the Ambi-safety securely at the correct angle for file fitting to my firearm. It allowed me to fit it perfectly, a more experienced gunsmith might have not needed this block, I did it will get used for other things as well.

ARMORER BLOCK, 1911/2011
Have not put the block to use yet, but the build quality is what you would expect from 10-8. Appears to be very well thought out. Purchased mainly to use during disassembly/assembly and service of a 1911. Hopefully a 2011 if the main boss who I affectionately call, “She Who Must Be Obeyed,” approves. Very happy with the purchase - another solid product from 10-8.

1911 Armorer Block
10-8's 1911 Armorer Block is simply the best I've seen. I have been using one for several years for a multitude of gunsmithing projects on 1911's and it has simplified numerous tasks. I recently purchased another for my brother so he would quit borrowing mine. :)

Good stuff!
I'm quite happy with it. Greater heft than I anticipated. Hasn't marred in my use so far. The two pins you see fit loose, so need to be kept track of and fall out when inverting the unit which is my only critical observation. The bushing holes secure my frame like a glove. Thumb safety slot that reliably, repeatedly locates the lug in the same position for filing is great. Not worrying about scratching my parts around the vice is nice. Glad I got it and would get it again. Came in about a week.

Every 1911 owner needs one
Wonderful tool, well thought out, well designed, intuitive. You can tell it was designed for 1911/2011 owners by 1911/2011 owners. Wonderful addition to my tool collection.

Must Have Gear
As a gunsmith I use this armorer block on a daily basis. I liked the one provided by my company so much that I bought one for my home workshop to work on my own guns. I have used, and destroyed, many blocks over the years but this one seems like it's going to outlast them all. Solidly built, well thought out and highly recommended.

At first this block seems expensive but after having the opportunity to use one it is worth it. It was created for solely for the 1911 and if you work on one it is would be the one block you need for all.
