10-8 1911 Grip Panels, Dirty Olive Burl, with Hilton Yam signature inlay. Panels are standard Government frame length, GI profile (covers plunger tube), Hydra pattern cut G10 glass/epoxy composite, mag catch scoop, cut for ambidextrous safety, flat bottom (compatible with add on mag wells like S&A etc.) with mainspring housing pin cutout.

Hydra Grip
I have the original texture in black, which is great. The stipple texture in black/gray, which is actually better in my hand (I’m a tradesmen)but a tad harsh on the skin if I’m not wearing an undershirt. I have caveman meat hooks, palms are 5” squares and only 3.5” fingers, which means grips are crucial for stability in my hand. These hydra grips are phenomenal! Grip contact is extremely positive and rock solid, it almost “asks” to be gripped hard. I’m not sure why, it’s subtle, but it feels like there is 100% contact and it melts into the front strap checkering, even one handed I don’t have to fiddle readjusting the grip. These are on a 5” Springfield TRP, no rail. It’s my carry weapon when I’m not at work. I haven’t shot in the rain or snow yet, but they seem to be ambivalent to sweat and moisture. I noticed no degradation in grip when “ slippery”. I was going to order a second set (I waited too long) to replace the black ones sitting on a RO Elite that I carry on those occasions when 3 lbs is just too much on my belt. Have to wait until they’re back in stock.
