I have 10-8 sights on three of my guns and would highly recomend them. The red fiber optic rod has never broken or had any loosening problem. I picked up spares just to have backup rods just incase. The U notch in the rear along with the square front post and red rod is very quick to pick up and see. The fit is also "just right" for the cutout on the slide. Tight, but very easy to slide by thumb pressure, then once tightened with the set screw never move. After thousands of rounds the screw is still tight. NO, thread lock glue! Shipping from 10-8 crew was extremely quick, and packed with care. Do review research, 10-8 is a high quality group.

I felt silly ordering a $1.00 fiber optic rod and paying $6 shipping, but they went above and beyond and included some scrap rods as well. Great color, easy install thanks to their video.

Had front and rear sights replaced with fiber optic front site and no dot rear sight. Product was excellent. Shipment was timely. Had the sights professionally installed. Much better sight picture than the original sights. Followed the suggstions of 10-8 performance for sight measurements. I love the SW Shield and these sights make it an even better firearm to shoot.

The way the 10-8 Performance fiber optic front sight is designed, the FO filaments tend to last quite a while. I haven't had one break on me yet. I've been learning to avoid getting solvent on them so they stay bright; but even as they age, they still perform. I prefer red.
