Product Description

Original S&W magazine base pad retainer plate for M&P .45 or 9mm/40/357, all frame sizes. This original style retainer plate ("aka Magazine Butt Plate Catch" in factory parlance) is necessary to run the 10-8 base pad on newer style S&W magazines with the square hole in the base plate.

**Please note that the retainers for the 9/40/357 are out of stock.  We have them on order from S&W, but they do not move very fast and we can't predict when they may fill our order.  Sorry for the inconvenience!**

    I used the locking tabs to retro fit square holed black base plates to round hole FDE Base plates...S&W took 2 months to ship replacement FDE base plates(completely missing the part where I asked to include the locking tabs):( I wasn't waiting another 2 months)...found 10-8 and they had the locking tabs at my door in 4 days;)
    Definitely use 10-8 again!
