Product Description
Our concave spring plug, as seen in recent custom 1911s built by Hilton Yam. Plug end protrusion is .100".
Machined from carbon steel, black oxide finish. Stainless version is machined from stainless steel, natural finish.
Available for full sized 1911/Government Models with 5" bushing barrels or 4.25" barrel Commander format guns with bushing barrels.

If you have a 1911, you need this

I bought these in conjunction with Colt GI guide rods to replace the 2-piece full-length guide rod systems on both my Springfield TRPs. They're not only aesthetically pleasing but are also quite functional. No more hex wrenches needed to break down my pistols. It also gives you the option to rack your slide against various surfaces.
I do have to agree with the recommendation to have an indention on it like other GI pattern recoil spring plugs to keep the recoil spring captive.

Good looking, easy to field strip

Getting back to basics. Replaced full length guide rod with GI rod, 18lb spring, & this plug.
Great look, more importantly I can strip it down with no tools.

Replaced the 2 piece guide rod in my SA 1911 with one of these (and a GI rod). Much nicer looking, and no need for tools to field strip.

This is a great product that adds a nice touch to the stock 1911. The plug drops right in and fits flush with the bushing leaving a clean, custom look without the hassle of having to file it down. My only suggestion would be to add a small indentation so that the spring is captive. All around, great product that is a nice addition to any 1911.
