The chisel end of the tool can be used to pull the 1911 extractor from the slide without scratching the finish. Some extractor hooks are wide enough to catch the breech face during removal. Use the chisel tip of the tool to push the hook past the breech face without any risk of marring the parts. Use the flat blade end of the tool to pop the safety plunger back in during installation of the thumb safety. Armorer Tool Armorer Tool

    Armorer Tool

All 10-8 stuff is top shelf !!! The Armorer Tool is a good bench tool but it shines as an aid to install the safety plunger, no fuss no muss... No compromise tools...

    Armorer tool

Very useful, especially handy when depressing the safety plunger when reinstalling the safety. I do wish the polymer it was made of was stiffer. Bends a little easily for some tasks.

    1911 tool

Liked the first one so much, bought an extra one for the 1911 bag.

    Handy but a bit soft

Recently got one of these tools and it is quite handy, especially for the plunger tube pin/spring. However with the good there is some bad as the tool was very soft and shredded when I tried to use it to remove the extractor. I'll give it three stars for versatility but if I were rating it solely on durability it would only get one

    Armorer tool

Non marring tool! Very useful for compressing 1911 / 2011 small springs (plunger, mainspring, etc.). It is also a good aid during re-installation your slide stop on a very tight handguns and removing tightly fit parts without damaging the finish on your handgun.

    Armorer Tool

Ordering went smooth and delivery prompt. I used the tool in the disassembly of my 1911 and it indeed worked well in avoiding any scratching or marring while pushing pins and removing parts. I'm not a gun smith but the purchase is well worth the price even for the occasional total disassembly that I do.

Sort of a new take on the old Widget and a improvement.

    10-8 Armorer Tool

This is a great tool for doing quite a number of tasks where you don't want to risk scratching up the finish on your firearm. I have them on both my benches and in my tool kits.
