The spring guide appeared to be manufactured well, however I have not fired my pistol since installing it. I was very pleased with the quick service once I ordered the item.

This addition with the 10-8 slide stop and a 13# single spring really worked out nicely on the Colt 1911 in 9mm

Looking at all other GI style doing guides out there, this is the only one that reaches up onto the face of the frame rails therefore distrinlbuting the load evenly. Frame cracking at dust cover is likely a result of the ears of guide rod sitting too low on other brands. Great product

Drop in components that require absolutely no fitting are far and few between. This is one of them..!! No de burr, chamfer or handiwork needed to install what so ever. Material, machine work and finish are flawless.Bevel on frameside should be standard spec on any 1911 spring guide. Used this with a Sarco supplied Black Ops Hi-Cap frame and Heavy Armor barrel, 20lb vari spring /USGI plug/Colt 5" slide. A part that works as delivered... Thanks 10-8

This is a well made and well engineered GI guide rod. The base is beveled too. No fitting needed for my Springfield TRP.

I really appreciate the quality of 10-8 performance 1911 parts, and the 10-8 performance instruction information is fantastic. Save yourself some time and money and do your 1911 upgrades right the first time.

This was a perfect replacement for the full length recoil rod that comes standard on the Kimber Custom II. I also purchased the 10-8 Recoil Spring Plug and just used the standard recoil spring

This is a nicely made part but I did have to file the sides down a fair amount so it would stop rubbing on the slide of my Sig 1911. Other than the little bit of filing I had to do it is a great part.

No fitting required for a Series 70 Colt, Caspian custom .45, Springfield GI 191. Very smooth machining. A nice beveled spring guide.
