Our 1911 grip panels are cut from G10 glass/epoxy composite in an aggressive 5 line per inch (lpi) pattern. They feature a .250" thick ordnance pattern radius, with ambi safety cutout, MSH pin cutouts, and flat bottom. The rugged materials resist impact and abrasion exceptionally well, and offer a long service life. The G10 is extremely hard and durable, and takes the checkering pattern to a fine point, which stays aggressive through extended use. The G10 composite material is totally impervious to water, oil, solvents, and most other common chemicals. It can be decontaminated in bleach solution after being exposed to hazardous materials that may be encountered in duty use.
G10 with aggressive relief cut for magazine catch. Fits full sized 1911 pattern pistols. Grey/Black only.
*Our grips are made in batches in a production format, and custom configurations are not available. They are only available WITH the scoop.
**The scoop is for access to the magazine catch, and is not a thumb rest. When shooting a 1911, your thumb should be located on top of the thumb safety. As such, these grips are only made with the scoop located on the left side with the magazine catch - ie. there is no "left handed" version.
***While the right side panel is relieved for the ambi lever, we cannot guarantee 100% compatibility with your gun's particular ambi. Some wet sanding may be necessary to allow the right side safety lever to move all the way into the down/off position.

These are the best gripps for a 1911.

Easy to install of course and the feel is great. Very happy with this purchase. I have bought sights for my Glock and love those too. 10-8 is top notch.

I have a Springfield MC OP and while the Prachmeyer(sp) rubber grips were good, they didn't have the scoop cut out of them, and don't have the grip these do.
The scoop for the mag release really makes it nice. Well worth it.

When I got this grips from 10-8 I was impressed on how they were aggressively textured to keep my hands from slipping away from my weapon. It really blew the Kimber grips out of the water! What I liked about the grips in top of the aggressive texture was the magazine scoop so I can get to the magazine release without an issue. 10-8 you guys rock!

These grip panels are top notch! They provide a excellent balance of aggressiveness without being painfully annoying after shooting for extended periods. The mag realease notch made mag changes a lot smoother. I highly recommend them and will recommend them to my students who run a 1911. Keep up the good work 10-8!!

I purchased a set of these in Blk/Gry several months ago for a carry gun and really liked them. I ended up purchasing the Dirty Olive for a new build. I like the 5LPI checkering. Aggressive, but it does not hurt the hand or rub during shooting or carry. Really like the scallop cuts for reaching the magazine release. You will not be disappointed.

Running a Kimber Desert Warrior on which the stock grips were rubbish. I have consistently had good experiences with 10-8 products so I gave the black/desert sand grips a go. 10-8 service continues to be outstanding. Inside of a week the order came in and I probably spent more time giggling maniacally than it did to get the grips on. Looks great, feels right in my mitts. Aggressive but not so much that they are uncomfortable during long stages of fire. Sweaty, dirty and sunblocky hands had no negative effects whatsoever.
Punchline: Top notch product!! You buy now. Make gun happy.

I have small hands and have a preference for aggressive texture. I had these put on my Wilson Combat Classic. It offers a more comfortable shooting experience. Definitely recommend.

Not me anymore! I used to have some very smooth grips on my 1911 that has soon as my hands got sweaty, my grip suffered. I put these grips on and ran my 1911 through a 90 degree day at the range and was able to maintain a positive grip even as my hands turned to water.

Simply put: These grips provide outstanding purchase. They look good too. I will be ordering another set for my Ed Brown Kobra.
